I just watched an episode with Paddy chris and some dude who played Cricket. Fucking awful. Chris is someone I can watch because he’s a true car guy, but entertaining. But the other 2, just seemed forced. Paddy was Clarkson wanna be. It was genuinely shit.

It’s a shame as I finally felt they’d hit a combination that breathed some life back into the format. Hardly surprising though given what happened. By all accounts Freddie’s been pretty traumatised by what’s happened so I doubt he’s got any plans to return to a driver’s seat any time soon.

After the actors strike there is a new culture to make acting safer. The vehicle crash that happened in Top Gear had an impact in this. I am not sure how Top Gear ratings are after the original cast members left, if its low, it might just get cancelled.

It’s a shame. I will admit I loved the original trio more but I have a soft spot for Harris as a car reviewer because he’s one of the best around.

I suppose the popularity of the show is also declining due to the current climate about cars.
Cars popularity are dying. Petrolheads are not as legion.
Cars are seen as nuisance and they truthfully are a nuisance in our cities with their noise and chemical pollution while taking too much of space.
It makes sense that Top Gear is cancelled while the end of an era is happening.
