Should be giving FP5s so they last longer and are more reliable
OMG, you’re right! No one at Fairphone thought of that. We picked the FP4 because it’s the first one we thought of. We’ll revise our plans immediately. – the Fairphone CEO
On the other hand, FP5 is still relatively new to the market and may still have kinks to work out, whereas FP4 has been out longer and is perhaps more robust and reliable (an important factor for this use case, I’d suggest). Just a thought.
The developing world is looking for decent, cheap and reliable. The 4 might be good enough and cheaper than the 5.
