    As someone who works in car sales (I know, boo hiss), all that Amazon is doing is facilitating the current online buying process, similar to Autotrader or CarGurus. You still have to go to the dealer, you still have to take delivery at a Hyundai store.

    It’s basically seems like a lead generation system, but instead of clicking “Buy This Car” on a car shopping website, Amazon sends your info to your local Hyundai store and they would take it from there.

    Amazon doesn’t have access to banks, Amazon won’t negotiate, Amazon can’t appraise trades.

    And before the “aMaZoN cAn’T cHaRgE oVeR mSrP!!!”, every store is different. I don’t believe in markups, I left a previous store because they charged $20k over on a Corvette, and I currently work at a store that has never charged over MSRP and has zero mandatory add-ons.

    As long as Hermes is not delivering it, otherwise it’ll end up with Steve two doors down and I’ll never see it again.
