    800V and 400V are exactly the same thing at cell level.
    Higher charge current is due to to better cooled pack and better chemistry , not voltage.

    This kind of cell will make the conversion from ICE a forgone conclusion.

      For most applications yes. But there is still a demographic that wants vehicles that satisfy 100% of use cases, not 95%. I have two EVs and an Expedition. I can’t began to tell you how often I hear about limited towing range from people that tow short distances once or or twice per year. You would think they’re excited about the Ram w/ range extender. But then they bitch about the 3.6L generator and price, even though the price hasn’t been announced.

    I’m looking to order one (in Europe). How can I tell if it will be equipped with BYD or CATL? Can I tell by the VIN or all rwd Ys that come from Berlin have the BYD battery nowadays?
