We haven’t had a poor start, we are just playing poorly compared to last season.
Our form is similar to teams that have won the league or finished second.
Last year, after 12 games we had conceded 11 and scored 30. We can get pretty close to both which would be impressive since we’re having a “poor” start. What a time to be a gooner, the estandards have been set

The start is good. But last year, the performance was exemplary. The attacking moves in the first 30 minutes were breathtaking. And beyond expectations.
But, towards the end, teams were beginning to work us out. So I am patient about the present status particularly that we are not with Partey.
Partey still has lots to offer specially thwarting the potential counter attack from opponents and starting our own wave of attack.

We are definitely more conservative than last season as we should be. Long season. We’re have to play the strongest XI or something close to it in an extra competition (UCL).

Saying we have had a poor start isn’t self-deprecating, it’s the opposite. Our standard is that much higher now because of the bar we have already set for oursevles, we shouldn’t be regressing in performance and it’s okay to be critical of that. All three of our non-win results this season had commonly recurring self-sabotage bozo moments, that specifically needs fixing. No team is perfect but when you’re competing with City you need to be as close to it as possible.
